It's the Ventriloquist. The art of ventriloquism. The art of being a ventriloquist. Or Ventriloquism. The juice is the same. The Ventriloquist is a performer that using the voice in a particular way creates the illusion that the sound does not come from him but from elsewhere. Whether it's a puppet, or an object.
It is different from the Magician show, and it is not even a Cabaret show. It is a form of theater that can be part of the puppetry show. In short, it has to do with many artistic disciplines.
How does he (it) speak?
Generally they refer to the puppet, I don't think it is an ask for me :) Actually I make it speak (see above) with the Ventriloquist technique. The Ventriloquist is able to create the illusion of speaking with the mouth closed. In reality, he keeps it half closed, there is always a small opening. This is precisely to create that illusion. The Ventriloquist's Show is based on this suggestion. Unlike the show of the magician which is based on multiple illusions.
Can anyone do it?
Yes, it is not an innate gift, everyone can learn. I did a lot of tutorials on YouTube to teach the technique for free, plus I wrote a book called “How to Be a Ventriloquist”, you can find it on Amazon. It is clear that from learning the technique to inventing a ventriloquist show of your own there is a lot ... but things are done by taking one step at a time, right?

I apologize. In reality, you shouldn't see much other than a few micromovements. Typically the ventriloquist performs on a stage, a few meters from the audience. Doing the performance 20 cm from the cell phone camera would put anyone's technique to the test.
How can I learn?

If I had had these tools at my disposal when I started performing, I would have certainly had an easier life. At first I found myself studying American ventriloquy books, American video courses, and books of magic, of prestidigitation. Because some aspects are similar. In addition to clearly all the theatrical aspect, the study of the actor's art, which in any case was already part of my background.
Where did you get Isotta?
The puppet is built by Axtell puppets, California. It is a company specializing in the construction of puppets for ventriloquists. Obviously what makes the difference is also the character you give to the figure, the writing of the character. That of the Ventriloquist is "only" an art, a set of techniques. To build a Ventriloquist show, you need a lot more. From theater to stage presence to stage writing and so on.
How much does a ventriloquist's puppet like Isotta costs?
It depends on the exchange. A good Axtell ventriloquist's puppet can cost, imported and cleared through customs, from 400 to 600 euros. There are other manufacturers, always specialized in puppets for ventriloquists, who build standard puppets (not customized) even with lower costs. To start you can find a puppet on amazon with a few euros. I made a video where I explain how to optimize it to make it suitable for the professional work of a ventriloquist.
Why don't you go to Italia's got talent?
I was there in 2012, I was just starting out and made it to the semifinals! I tried to go back but they didn't want me. Who knows maybe one day I'll be back.
Why don't you go to Tu si que Vales?
I was there in 2017. With the platypus. Obviously if they wanted me I would go back immediately.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2011 I have started studying ventriloquy, and since 2012 I have my own ventriloquist show; in any case I have always had to do with the theater, which in my opinion is the indispensable basis for everything that is performing.
How old is Isotta?
5 years for at least 10 years, she has been with me since 2011 and said she was 5 years old. Now she keeps saying the same thing ... Well ...
